Background
Biography
Christine McClintock was born and raised in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. She began her musical career in West Philadelphia, extensively studying clarinet and music theory at Settlement Music School and the Mary Louise Curtis School. She began to shift her musical focus to composition in her teens. Her first complete work was an original setting of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition at the Boston Conservatory of Music
After finishing her undergraduate degree, Ms. McClintock enlisted in the United States Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa. Upon her completion of service, Ms. McClintock continued her education in the San Francisco Bay Area. She obtained her Master of Music degree in Music Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Ms. McClintock’s repertoire includes incidental music for experimental theater, chamber and orchestral works, and various small film projects. Her theater credits include composer, musical director, and sound board operator. Her most recent projects have been focused on creating short pieces that are accessible to a wide range of audiences.
